Home Sale Staging Services

Statistics prove that staging is an effective way to market a property. A staged home sells for 6% -17% more than a similar home that was not staged. If you invested 3% of your home’s value in staging costs and were able to sell it for 6% more money than a similar house that is not staged, then staging your home didn’t really cost you anything. It was an investment that made a 3% return on your home’s value.

The best time to stage your home is before you put it up for sale on the real estate market. Studies show that staged homes spend about 78% less time on the market than homes that were not staged. When potential buyers see that your home has been on the market for a long time they expect you to come down in price. So the longer your house is on the market the less you will be able to sell it for. Staging your house will help you sell it before you start making costly cuts to your selling price. Staging pays for itself.

Staged homes also look better in pictures that are used to attract potential buyers in real estate listings. The more people you get to look at your home the faster it is going to sell. If you have the best looking pictures in your real estate listing then you are going to attract more potential buyers. The more potential buyers your house appeals to, the faster you are going to sell your house.

Staging is not interior decorating. Interior decorating is the art of making your house into your home. Staging helps you turn your home back into a house so potential customers can make it into their home. If they see it as your home, then they can’t visualize it as their own home. Potential buyers need to be able to mentally move into your house and make an emotional connection with it. It is the home stager's job to make this emotional connection possible.

First impressions are very important. Most buyers make up their minds about your house in the first few seconds after they walk in the front door. That first impression could be worth thousands of dollars. It can be very difficult to be objective when it comes to staging your own home. You probably spent many years making it the perfect home for you and your family. It may not, however, be the perfect home for your potential buyers. The potential customer's first impression needs to be an impression that can include them living in the house.

Granite Street Construction Services, LLC can help you stage your home for sale. As your stager, we will look at your home objectively and make it appeal to the highest percentage of potential buyers. We will help you look at the ‘flow’ of your home, remove clutter, depersonalize, arrange furniture, and work on curb appeal. We will look at your house inside and out to prepare it for the real estate market.

We will come to your home with a neutral eye, walk the property with you, and create a home sale Staging Plan for you to follow. Then you can execute that Staging Plan on your own to save money, or you can hire us to help you with that too. Part of your Staging Plan may include making repairs, painting, upgrading fixtures, or landscaping. At Granite Street Construction Services, LLC we also have a handyman service that you can hire to take care of all of those handyman needs. After the Staging Plan has been completed we will return for a follow up visit and walk the house again to make sure it is ready.
